The “Mockingbird”, an entry into the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time family, presents itself as a dress watch, powered by a gorgeous green sunburst dial that goes from olive and emerald to deep black under changing light. Hour markers and dauphine hands give the dial depth, and a date window can be found at the 3 O’clock mark. The movement inside is Seiko’s ever-reliable Calibre 4R35 automatic with hand-winding and hack seconds, and gives a 41 hour power reserve, while a see-through case-back reveals its workings. Case is stainless steel and is fitted with a brown calfskin strap and push button three fold clasp; this will serve admirably as an everyday wear or dress watch, a genuinely crafted mechanical timepiece.
